Setting up AI Face Search for Wedding Events

For large events like weddings, guests often struggle to find their photos among thousands of uploads. FlipZap solves this by allowing guests to take a selfie and instantly filter out only their photos. Here is how to configure it:

Step 1: Enable AI Matching

Navigate to your event settings, open the "AI Preferences" tab, and turn on the switch for "Enable AI Face Recognition Matching". This activates backend AI background workers to process face vector embeddings for all uploaded photos.

Step 2: Adjust Similarity Threshold

The similarity threshold determines how strictly the AI matches selfies to target faces. You can set it according to your needs:

• 75% - 80% (Loose Matching): Good for low-resolution shots or group photos, but may return minor false positives (extremely similar lookalikes).
• 82% - 86% (Recommended): Optimized balance that filters out matches with extremely high accuracy while handling side-angles and lighting differences.
• 90%+ (Strict Matching): Extremely precise. Zero false matches, but may miss profile angles or guests wearing heavy makeup.

Step 3: Setup Privacy Safeguards

Privacy is critical. You can toggle **"Private Search Mode"**. When active, a guest scanning the QR code and uploading a selfie will ONLY be allowed to see and download images where their face was detected. The rest of the gallery remains locked to them.

Step 4: Share and Launch

Download and print the event-specific QR code. Display it at the wedding venue entrance, reception desks, or dining tables. Guests simply scan the code, take a selfie, and download their memories instantly!
