Configuring AI Face Search & Matching Settings

Deliver a premium experience to your guests using state-of-the-art AI Face Recognition.

How it works

When you upload event photos, FlipZap's background workers extract facial vector embeddings. When a guest uploads a selfie, the server performs a high-speed mathematical matching query to find their pictures.

Similarity Threshold Tuning

Under Event Settings > AI Preferences, you can tune the similarity threshold:

• 75% - 80% (Loose): Returns more matches but may occasionally include very look-alike people.
• 82% - 86% (Recommended): The perfect balance of precision and coverage.
• 90%+ (Strict): Extremely precise matching but may miss people in low-lighting or profile angles.

Privacy & GDPR Safeguards

You can enable "Private Matching Only". With this option toggled, guests can ONLY view photos where their face is matched, protecting the privacy of other guests' galleries.
